SeniorMatch log-in and app help

Checked 24 September 2026 on the SeniorMatch log-in page and search settings.

The short answer

Log in on SeniorMatch's own log-in page. If the app says nobody is around, change where you are searching, not your account. This site never asks for your password.

Where to log in

SeniorMatch's own log-in page, read 24 September 2026, offers three main ways in: email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google, plus a fourth option for anyone who joined that way, Sign in with Mobile Number. A Keep Me Logged In box sits next to the password field, and a Not a Member Yet, Join Us link sends a new visitor to registration instead of the sign-in form. This site is not that page: it has no password box of its own and never asks for your SeniorMatch password. The button on this page opens SeniorMatch's own log-in page directly, where the actual sign-in happens.

Signing in sometimes adds one more screen after the password, a text-or-email code step under Verify Your Account, so keep whichever phone or inbox the account uses within reach before you start. Tomorrow: add SeniorMatch's log-in page to your phone's home screen or your browser's bookmarks, so the next time you want to check messages you are not hunting for the right web address.

Website or app

SeniorMatch also publishes an app on the Canadian App Store, in English, last read 24 September 2026. The website and the app are separate purchase channels: each one sells its own list of one, three and six month plans, and the two lists do not always charge the same amount for the same length in the same currency. The cost page lines up every plan on both channels side by side, so check it before deciding where to pay rather than assuming one channel is cheaper.

Which channel a plan is bought through also decides how it gets cancelled, covered further down this page. Tomorrow: before your first payment, open the cost page and compare a single month on each channel; that choice is easier to make once, before a subscription is running, than to change afterward.

When it says nobody is around

An empty-looking search almost always comes down to one setting: where SeniorMatch is looking, not who is on the site. On the Basics tab, Location is a two-way choice between Anywhere and Living in, read 16 September 2026. Left on Anywhere, search pulls from SeniorMatch's whole membership, most of it outside Canada, so a Canadian screen can fill with profiles that will never be a short drive away. Switching Location to Living in opens a country and region picker; choose Canada, then your own province, and the same search only shows people actually near where you live.

There is also Near My Location, a switch on the Advanced tab, off by default. Off, it leaves the wider Location setting in charge; turned on, it narrows further. SeniorMatch does not publish a specific default search radius we could confirm, so do not assume a fixed number of kilometres is doing the filtering behind either setting. Tomorrow: open the search filters, set Location to Living in, pick Canada and your province, and only then judge whether the result looks empty.

When you mostly see Americans

The same default that leaves a search looking too wide, Location set to Anywhere, is why most of the people a Canadian account sees at first are not Canadian: SeniorMatch is an international site, and Anywhere pulls from all of it. Setting Location to Living in, then Canada and your own province, changes what shows up in that same search box; it does not require signing up again or opening a new account.

Once we made that switch on our own test account, the newest profiles it returned were genuinely Canadian. Our own count of the newest Canadian-filtered profiles, taken 21 September 2026, seen from a woman's account, so the men's side, ran to 499, so the pool behind that filter is real on a national level, even if any one province's slice of it is smaller. Tomorrow: if a search still looks mostly American, check that Location reads Living in with Canada and your province selected, not Anywhere.

If it asks you to verify your age

If a profile's country is set to the United Kingdom, SeniorMatch stops it from doing anything else until it passes an age check. Read on SeniorMatch's own verification page on 22 September 2026, the notice gives its reason in these words: "To comply with the UK's Online Safety Act, all members must complete age verification before accessing any platform features." The check itself runs through a third party, Yoti; nothing on the profile works again until it is agreed to and finished.

Our own test profile, set to Canada instead of the United Kingdom, showed this: none seen on a Canada profile (Toronto), checked 21 September 2026. Nothing we saw suggests Canada carries the same requirement; the notice ties itself to the United Kingdom's Online Safety Act, not to any Canadian law.

This screen is worth avoiding by accident, because it also covers the profile editor, so a profile switched to the United Kingdom cannot be switched back from inside the account. The screen offers two ways forward: agree and go to Yoti, or sign out; LIVE SUPPORT and Contact us stay on screen. Tomorrow: if you are registering for the first time, set your country to Canada from the start rather than leaving it blank; if this screen appears on an account you meant to keep Canadian, use LIVE SUPPORT or Contact us to have the country corrected instead of starting a verification meant for a different country.

Cancelling auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same length until the member cancels. SeniorMatch's service agreement states it plainly: "After the initial subscription term and any subsequent renewal periods, your subscription will automatically renew for the same duration as your initial subscription." A plan left alone charges again for the same length it was originally bought at, in whichever currency that channel bills.

Cancelling depends on where you subscribed. On the website, the path is Settings > Subscriptions > click "Your membership will automatically renew until you cancel your subscription by clicking here" > CONTINUE MANAGEMENT. Through the Canadian App Store, cancelling has nothing to do with SeniorMatch itself; the path runs through Apple instead: Settings app > your name > Subscriptions > the subscription > Cancel Subscription. Whichever channel sold you the plan is also the only one that can stop it, so check the right one rather than searching the other for a cancel button that is not there.

There is also a short window for a refund rather than just stopping the next renewal: 3 business days from the day you subscribe. Its own wording: "you may cancel a subscription within three (3) business days of subscribing to our Service to receive a refund by notifying us through the contact information provided below." Tomorrow: find your account's Settings menu on the website, or the Subscriptions screen in the App Store, whichever one you actually paid through, before the next renewal date arrives.

Reaching support

Members can reach support through the public Help and FAQ page's Contact Support link, a support email address, and two phone numbers, one direct and one toll-free; the account also shows 24/7 live chat once logged in, read 22 September 2026. The public page sits at https://www.seniormatch.com/faq; having your account email ready first will move things along faster, whichever line you use.

None of that path runs through this site. We do not have access to your SeniorMatch account, and we cannot reset a password, approve a refund or cancel a subscription on your behalf. Tomorrow: if something is actually wrong with your account today, whether it is a stuck payment or a log-in that will not work, go straight to that support page rather than searching this site for a contact form it does not have.

Questions people ask

Where do I log in to SeniorMatch?

SeniorMatch's own log-in page takes an email and password, or a one-tap sign-in through Apple, Google, or a mobile number if that is how the account was created, read 24 September 2026. This site is not that page: it has no password box of its own and never asks for your SeniorMatch password. The button on this page opens SeniorMatch's log-in screen directly, where the actual sign-in happens.

I forgot my SeniorMatch password. What do I do?

Go to SeniorMatch's own log-in page and look for Forgot Password next to the password field; that link starts password recovery, not anything on this site. Signing back in sometimes adds one more step afterward, a text-or-email code under Verify Your Account, so keep the phone or inbox the account uses within reach. If a reset message never arrives, check a spam folder before trying again, then use the support contacts covered further down this page.

Why does the SeniorMatch app say nobody is around?

Almost always because Location is set to Anywhere, which searches SeniorMatch's whole membership rather than Canada specifically, most of it outside this country. On the Basics tab, switch Location to Living in, then choose Canada and your own province; there is also Near My Location, a switch on the Advanced tab, off by default, which narrows further if the result still looks thin. Read 16 September 2026 from the site's own filters.

How do I see only Canadians on SeniorMatch?

On the search filters' Basics tab, change Location from Anywhere to Living in; that opens a country and region picker where you choose Canada, then your own province. That is the same setting behind an empty-looking search: left on Anywhere, results pull from SeniorMatch's international membership rather than Canada. Set it once, and every later search in that account uses it until it is changed again.

How do I cancel SeniorMatch on my iPhone?

A subscription bought through the Canadian App Store is billed by Apple, not SeniorMatch, so it cancels through Apple: Settings app > your name > Subscriptions > the subscription > Cancel Subscription, read 16 September 2026. Nothing inside the SeniorMatch app or account stops an App Store subscription; the setting lives in the phone's own Settings app. A plan bought on the website instead uses the website's own cancel route, covered further up this page, not Apple's.

How do I contact SeniorMatch?

SeniorMatch's own support page says members can reach support through the public Help and FAQ page's Contact Support link, a support email address, and two phone numbers, one direct and one toll-free; the account also shows 24/7 live chat once logged in, read 22 September 2026, and sits at https://www.seniormatch.com/faq. This site does not have access to any SeniorMatch account and cannot reset a password, approve a refund or cancel a subscription on your behalf, so go straight to that page for anything account-specific.

Does SeniorMatch ask Canadians to verify their age?

Not from what we saw. The age check applies to a profile set to the United Kingdom, tied to that country's Online Safety Act; our own test profile, set to Canada instead, showed this: none seen on a Canada profile (Toronto), checked 21 September 2026. The check runs through a third party, Yoti, and covers the profile editor along with everything else once it appears, so avoid switching a Canadian profile's country to the United Kingdom by mistake.
