The member row is the only one of the five that nobody but this site produced: it comes from 499 profiles read one at a time, not a figure any of the three companies publishes. SilverSingles and OurTime have no equivalent number here, and that gap says more about what this project could check than about either company's actual size.

Prices you can see before paying
SeniorMatch is the only one of the three whose price this page can print with a currency and a date: $33.99 USD for one month, read 16 September 2026, though that reading came from inside a working member account rather than a public page. SilverSingles and OurTime show no Canadian dollar figure at all to a visitor who has not registered.
SilverSingles' cost page returns no price at all: read 22 September 2026, it does not show a price before registration. The page loads as an empty app shell with no price text on it, and full pricing sits behind login. There is no separate Canadian version of that page either; silversingles.ca lands on the same content as silversingles.com, with no country selector and no way to see a number before signing up.
The one SilverSingles price this page can name in full comes from a different country. Inside a logged-in US account, the checkout screen showed USD $499 / month, "billed as USD $499 every month"; USD $999 / 3 months, marked "SAVE 33%" and "MOST POPULAR", read 16 September 2026. That reading predates the Canadian pages above, and it is a US account, in US dollars, not a Canadian one, so treat it as a sense of scale rather than what a Canadian signup would actually see.
OurTime is similar but not identical: its help pages, read 22 September 2026, do not show a price either. They describe plan lengths of six, three or one month plus a one-time, non-refundable processing fee, but give no dollar figure; the page that actually prices a plan sits behind login.

What free includes on each
All three limit a free account differently, and only two of them say how in writing. SeniorMatch and OurTime both stop a free member from writing the first message in a conversation; SilverSingles does not say what its free tier can do at all, on any page we could read without logging in.
On SeniorMatch, read 16 September 2026 inside a member account, the company's own words are blunt about the one hard limit: "As a Standard Member, you cannot initiate or continue conversations unless the other person currently has a PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP." Short of that, a free account can still reply to messages a Premium member started, among other things; the full list, with what Premium adds on top, has its own page at what a free account can do.
OurTime spells out a similar limit in its help center: "This feature allows free members to reply to paid subscriber emails." Only a paying member can start a new conversation, and doing so costs that paying member an extra add-on purchase before the first message can go out. SilverSingles gave us nothing to quote on this point: not stated on the pages checked. That is not a knock against SilverSingles' free tier; it may be a perfectly good one. It is simply not written down anywhere we could read without an account of our own.

Who is on them in Canada
SeniorMatch is the only one of the three this page can put a Canadian number on. Among the 499 newest Canadian profiles SeniorMatch showed us, read 21 September 2026 from a woman's account and so describing the men's side, 49 new men joined in a typical week, 57.1% had signed in within the past 30 days, and the median age was 66.
SilverSingles and OurTime have no equivalent figure on this page, and that gap is about what this project could research, not a claim about either company's actual size. Creating a paid or logged-in Canadian account on SilverSingles or OurTime was outside what this page checked; SeniorMatch's numbers exist here only because a working member account made counting possible. A bigger membership could easily sit behind either of those two logins. This page simply cannot say.
SeniorMatch also offers photo verification, described on its own pages as a short selfie video compared with the member's profile photos, to confirm the account is used by the person shown. The company says this has applied to every member since April 2025, though we could not confirm it is enforced on every new signup, and in our own count only 34.7% of the newest Canadian profiles actually carried the verified badge. Neither SilverSingles nor OurTime mentions photo verification on any page we read, so their cells in the table above read not checked rather than no.
For a reader outside Ontario or Quebec, where most of that newest batch lives, our full count of every Manitoba profile SeniorMatch would show, not just the newest batch, reached 45 men, of whom 33.3% had signed in within the past 30 days. A pool that size in one province is smaller than the national figures above, but it is a real, counted number, and it is one SilverSingles and OurTime do not offer for any Canadian province at all.

Which suits whom
There is no single best answer here, and this page will not pretend to have one: SilverSingles and OurTime kept too much behind their own logins for a fair three-way verdict. What follows is keyed to what kind of dater you are, using only what each service's own pages actually show.
If you want to search and browse on your own terms, SeniorMatch is the one this page can speak to directly: a free account lets you browse by age and location today, and 57.1% of the newest Canadian profiles we counted had been active in the past 30 days, so there is something to actually look at. Whether SilverSingles or OurTime offers the same kind of open browsing to a free Canadian member is not something either company's public pages state, so this page cannot compare that experience directly.
If seeing a firm number before you register matters most, none of the three fully delivers it: SeniorMatch's $33.99 USD came from inside an account, and SilverSingles and OurTime show no Canadian price at all without one.
